The Ghana Real Estate Developers (popularly known as GREDA) is a professional body established by an act of parliament. GREDA is mandated to bring together all real estate developers to promote the industry. The body is tasked to provide practical solutions to challenges in the real estate market in Ghana.
The Ghana Real Estate Developers (GREDA) was founded in October 1988 and operates based on a private-public partnership.
For more than 30 years, the country has benefitted from the immense contribution of GREDA in providing housing solutions to address the long-standing housing deficit challenge. Some of the major housing interventions by the association are the GREDA Estate situated at Nungua with over 500 housing units, Tema Communities 18, 19 and 20, and the Dunkona Estates. These projects were completed in partnership with SSNIT.
